A tripped breaker caused an outage at the Algonquin tower from 7:13pm to 8:17pm. Service was restored after a technician went onsite and reset the power.

A failing radio on the Shanly tower was replaced around 5:00pm that was causing a reduction in speeds over the last few days.

A large area was without power from 3:15am - 10:30am. The main tower was maintained with a generator during this outage.

Service was interrupted for up to an hour on Sunday due to a DOS (denial of service) attack from an address in Europe. Once we identified the source, the address was blocked by our upstream provider and service returned to normal. We have found the virus infected computer that was causing the attack and helped the customer clean it up.

A core router in Toronto will be upgraded over night. Somewhere between 1:00am - 3:00am Feb 3rd, there will be a 15 minute outage while the update is done. This will affect Wireless, DSL, and dialup customers.

The Roebuck access point was down from 6:45pm - 7:45pm. Rebooting the equipment brought things back up. No cause has been determined yet. Dec 22 - 4:50 pm

The Hyndman backhaul radio is being replaced from last nights failure. Service should be restored by 10:00am.

The Shanly tower went down due to equipment failure affecting Shanly, Ventnor, Hyndman, and Brinston. The technicians worked onsite in the cold from 4:00pm - 9:00pm, replacing multiple radios, cabling and power equipment. Shanly returned to service by 6:00pm. Brintston returned around 7:00pm. Ventnor returned around 8:30pm. Hyndman is still down, by 9:00 we figured out what was still failing but it was too dark/late to climb the tower again. The equipment will be replaced tomorrow morning.

The Charleville Access Point was slow all day due to interference from an unknown source. Adjustments were made and speeds returned to normal by 7:00pm

A faulty lightening arrestor appears to have been causing the random connection drop over the weekend. Our upstream provider has replaced the equipment and we are monitoring the connection to determine if the problem has been resolved. So far so good.

The Hyndman tower was experiencing unexplained interference that caused it to pass very little traffic. Service would have been extermely slow during this time. Configuration changes were made this morning to restore it to normal speeds.

The main backhaul link to our upstream provider is randomly dropping for 30 second intervals on average once per hour. The technicians in Ottawa are working to resolve it. Service continues to be available but may be interrupted randomly.

DSL only - a problem at the Bell phone office in Spencerville around 2:00pm caused an outage for DSL customers. All DSL customers in town are affected regardless of who their provider is. Service should be restored soon. Dialup and Wireless customers are not affected.

Dialup only - A network upgrade in the middle of the night caused a dialup outage for the entire morning. Users were getting an error 619 when connecting. Service returned to normal around Noon. DSL and Wireless customers were not affected.

Ontario Hydro has turned off the power near the Williams tower on Cnty Rd 44 for maintenance. The tower, and the customers do not have power. Service will be restored when the power comes back on.

The Iroquois access point is acting up. We will be replacing the equipment around 1:00pm tomorrow. There will be an interruption in service while we replace the equipment.

The entire network experienced an outage from 5:40pm to 8:30pm due to a problem with our upstream provider's fibre feed in North Gower. The 24 hour technicians had it resolved within 3 hours. We switched over to backup during this time but it was painfully slow. Speeds have returned to normal.

A planned power outage in Roebuck, Spencerville, Ventnor, Shanly, Hyndman and surrounding area has caused outages for customers on these towers. Ventnor, Hyndman and Hunter towers are currently down until the power is restored. Others are being run on generators or battery backup.

Power problems at the Brouseville tower caused an outage for Brouseville, Shanly, Hyndman, Ventnor, & Brintston. We installed a new larger UPS in the afternoon to reduce the chances of a power outage.

A network wide outage was caused by a failure on our backhaul link to Ottawa. We swtiched over to a backup link by 10:20pm. Our upstream provider was able to restore our main link by 8:40am Aug 6 and speeds returned to normal.

A power surge due to the electrical storm early Sunday morning destroyed the equipment on the Brouseville tower. Ventnor, Shanly, Hyndman, Brinston & Brouseville were affected. Service was restored by 6:00pm after all the equipment had been replaced.

The power supply fan in our main router died causing it to shutdown to prevent overheating. The fan was replaced and service returned to normal.

Major electrical storms caused many power outages throughout the day. The network remained up all day. A few customers have lost their power adapters and or network adapters due to power surges. If you are having trouble please call to arrange a repair.

Speeds were reduced due to a broadcast storm and a Distributed Denial of Service attack from the Internet. The attack has stopped but we will continue to monitor the situation throughout the evening.

The power was out in Roebuck, Spencerville, Ventnor, Hyndman, Shanly and surrounding area. Service remained up for 1.5 hours before the batteries in the towers went dead. Service was restored when the power was restored.

Service was intermittent while we upgraded a set of backhaul radios. We informed customers by email of the upcoming work, and as always they were incredibly patient. The radios gave us a fight, but by 11:30pm speeds had returned to normal.

A power outage in Shanly caused a network switch to fail. Replacement was completed by 9:00am and service restored. Internet outage affected Shanly, Ventnor, Hyndman, and Brinston.

A cow pulled a cable off the Algonquin tower, and chewed it into several pieces. The cable will be replaced by early Monday evening. We have had a talk with the cow and she is very sorry for the trouble she caused. Service is out for Algonquin customers only.

We have added another SPAM filter to the email server and seen a big reduction in SPAM getting through.

Ongoing issues with dialup: Equipment upgrades at the dial-in server causes connections to be dropped frequently. Upstream provider has been working on it. Dialup has been intermittant for some customers for a week or better.

DSL customers were unable to send mail due to a DNS issue with the mail server. Customers were able to receive mail, but not send.

The mail server is being swamped with a SPAM dictionary attack. Mail is still being delivered but there may be brief outages as we attempt to limit the effects of the incoming mail storm.
